According to the National Meteorological Service, in Mexico City, a maximum temperature of 20 to 22 °C and a minimum of 10 to 12 °C are expected. On February 20, intense punctual rains are anticipated in some states and less intense rains in the central region of the country. Heavy rains are forecasted in Puebla and very strong rains are expected in Hidalgo.
The SMN issued a notice about the weather conditions for the Mexico Valley, indicating the presence of isolated rains in Mexico City and showers in the State of Mexico due to the influence of a low-pressure channel over the interior of the country and moisture from the Pacific Ocean, along with the approach of cold front No. 28. The possibility of isolated rains in the afternoon is expected with estimated accumulations between 0.1 and 5 mm in 24 hours. In the State of Mexico, the showers could be more intense with accumulation of 5 to 25 mm in the same period.
It is important to exercise caution as the rains could be accompanied by electrical discharges in the affected areas. For February 20 in Mexico City, cloudy skies are forecasted for most of the day, with scattered rains in the morning and cool to mild temperatures.
